Governor Support Advisor
36 hours per week (flexible working, including Term Time Only, may be considered)
Permanent Contract
£29,000 - £35,000 per annum (pro rata for Term Time Only) depending on experience
plus pension + other benefits

Location: West Drayton, Middlesex
Work pattern: Usual working hours between 09:00 – 17:00
• Do you have experience providing advice, guidance, and support to school governing board members and school leaders with matters related to school governance?
• Do you have experience planning, developing, and managing a training and development programme?
• Do you have experience developing communications materials and managing social media channels and website content?
• Do you have strong research skills?
• Are you a confident communicator and have experience delivering training?

The Governor Support Service is an independent service offering governor training, advice, guidance and support to schools in the London Borough of Hillingdon. We offer local and legislative advice, guidance, support and a comprehensive training and development programme to school governors and clerks.
This advisory role will be varied and requires someone who has the ability to plan and schedule their work effectively and able to complete tasks to a high level of accuracy and with clear attention to detail. You will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the service, including managing projects, initiatives, and current or previous experience as a Clerk to a Governing Board will be relevant to this role. Applicants for this role must have previous experience providing advice and guidance to school governing board members and school leaders. Please note this role will require some evening work.
As part of our selection process shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a number of assessments/tests.
