Payroll and Contracts Management

Working closely with our payroll partner Dataplan, we provide a unique payroll and contracts management service. The Schools HR Co-operative interfaces between our schools and payroll to ensure terms, conditions and contractual entitlements comply with the relevant regulations and guidance and that your employees get paid on time and correctly.


School payroll has become increasingly complex with a constant change in legislation and government policy. Once, solely the preserve of the Local Authority, payroll expertise on school issues is now more widely available.

You need a team of school payroll experts working with you to get it right and ensure compliance at every stage. Dataplan have the technical expertise to make sure your school payroll is correct and to make all of the necessary returns required by you and your Local Authority.

During the year

  • Submission of your payroll information by e-mail, web or fax
  • Payroll cut-off 10 days before pay day
  • All reports and payslips available to you for approval
  • Full audit trail of review and approval process
  • Pressure sealed payslips delivered to you for distribution before pay day
  • Unlimited free use of our BACS service for salaries / PAYE / Pensions / AOEs etc
  • Electronic in year filing of all P45's etc. to comply with HMRC regulations
  • Completion of all monthly Teachers' Pension / LGPS returns

At year end

  • Completion of all of year end HMRC returns
  • Completion of Teachers' Pension and LGPS annual returns including ASRs
